Bimbo DonutsNot a product you'd want to give your feminist friends... Actually, Bimbo is a popular brand of baked goods from Mexico, and a good example of why it pays to consider foreign markets before choosing a trademark. US companies can easily run into the same situation in reverse - Wendy's "Biggie" fries are popular in the USA, but in the UK the trademark is a bit offputting. In British slang, "biggie" is the reason for large disposable diapers. If you're considering choosing a trademark for your business, be sure to read our "Do's and Don'ts of Choosing a Trademark" page.
