Troop 80 has a very active schedule of weekly
meetings, monthly outings (campouts, hikes, and
field trips), a major annual spring trip, and
summer camp. There are special opportunities for
older Scouts, such as treks to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, the National
Scout Jamboree and even an international jamborette
in Scotland that several of our Scouts have attended.
Our troop is one of the oldest and most active in Cortland County, having
been founded in 1944 by John Colton. Over the 60 years of our history,
Troop 80 has maintained the highest standards for the hundreds of Scouts who
have been members. There have been many Eagle scouts
in Troop 80 over the years. Three of our scoutmasters have earned the Silver
Beaver, the Council's highest award.
If you are interested in the fun, learning and adventure of Scouting, come
join Troop 80!
